Choosing wedding accessories actually depend on the culture or religion of the bride and groom. Different variety of wedding supplies were produced because of the numerous cultures and religions around the world. In most American weddings, the race and country of origin of the bride and groom can definitely influence the wedding items to be used. Both the bride and groom must agree to use wedding accessories and supplies that each want to use if they have different beliefs, religion or customs.
  • Ring Pillow and Flower Girls' Baskets. These accessories are basically for little attendants to carry while marching down the aisle. Ring pillows usually have ribbons and other decorations in the center which the wedding rings are tied to. On the other hand, flower girls' baskets are filled with flower petals and some small flowers to be spread out on the aisle. The baskets are usually decorated with flower and ribbons that match to the bridal motif.

  • Bridal Veil and Garter. Wedding veils are also among the most basic wedding accessories that have been around for some time. Depending on the culture, tradition and preference of the bride, a bridal veil can be anything from conventional to contemporary. Some brides don't even wear a veil on their wedding. On the other hand, the wedding garter is known as a symbol mystery and virginity, especially if it is blue, and well hidden under layers of crinoline. It will stay on the thigh of the bride until such time that the groom will take it off and tosses it onto single men invited. The one who catches it will be then paired to the unmarried female who catches the bouquet.

  • Toasting Flutes and Cake Knives. These accessories will be used at the reception. Toasting flutes are usually made of crystal glass but there are some who uses goblets. Also, most of these flutes can be personalized with the couple's names. Cake knives and cake servers are used when slicing the wedding cake, and these can be personalized as well.

  • Wedding Guest Book. The wedding guest book is where each guest sign their name to prove that they were present during the wedding. Most of wedding guests books were chosen according to the theme and motif of the wedding, and will be kept as heirlooms afterwards.
